Target experience

Create a project, describe the software and agents you need, and review your first operating system proposal.

You build with Continual by chatting with the agent. You do not need to choose a database, write a schema, or set up an application framework. Bring what you know about the business; Continual handles the software.

1. Create a project

A project is the boundary for one customer-owned operating system. It connects the system's source, data, agents, apps, branches, deployments, and history. Name it after the business, division, or durable area it represents—not the first workflow you plan to build.

2. Describe what you want

Open the project home and tell Continual what this operating system should help run. A useful first message covers the scope, desired outcomes, existing systems, current pain, and decisions that need a person.

Build the software our customer success team runs on. Connect our CRM, support inbox, billing, and product usage. Keep onboarding and renewals moving, spot risk early, and ask the account owner before changing a customer commitment.

I'll first map the team's responsibilities and propose a customer model, handbook context, governed tools, onboarding and renewal loops, health metrics, connections, and a work queue for decisions. Then you can review the plan before I build it.

3. Review the proposal

Ask questions and change the plan in business language. Confirm the objects the system should know, the capabilities it may use, the loops it should run, the outcomes it should watch, and the decisions it must return to people.

  1. Check the meaning

    Does the proposal describe the business as operators understand it?

  2. Check authority

    Are agent permissions and human review boundaries explicit?

  3. Check the first value

    Will the first capability solve a real problem and strengthen the shared system?

4. Connect your systems

Authorize the services Continual needs. The agent discovers available capabilities through each connection and explains what access it is requesting. You can narrow access now and expand it later.

5. Activate the first capability

Continual builds the proposal on a project branch, previews the result, runs tests and evaluations, and presents the change for review. When it meets the project's policy, merge and deploy it to the main branch.

Continue the same conversation to operate the system, correct it, or add the next capability. The project history records what changed and why.
